A $1,250,000 class action settlement resolves claims that a 2020 cyberattack on e-commerce websites run by subsidiaries of Warner Music Group exposed payment card information. You may qualify if you live in the United States and made payment card purchases on those websites between April 25, 2020 and August 5, 2020. Residents of California who made such purchases during that period form a separate subclass with a higher estimated payment. Estimated cash payments are about $50 for general class members and about $100 for California subclass members, and the amounts are weighted pro rata, so they may change. The company denies wrongdoing. To get paid you must submit a valid and timely claim form online through the settlement website, since doing nothing does not produce a payment. The claims deadline is January 22, 2027. The settlement administrator is EisnerAmper.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
