This class action settlement covers people who bought certain Thinkware dashcams in the United States between January 25, 2019 and August 31, 2024. The lawsuit claimed the company advertised a Super Night Vision feature on models including the X700, F200PRO, DC-M2-FG-IR, DC-M2-FG and F70PRO without disclosing that the feature worked only in parking mode. Thinkware denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation. To receive a payment, eligible buyers must submit a claim form online by December 14, 2026. Payments are calculated pro rata based on how many valid claims are filed, and they are issued after the settlement becomes effective and the court grants final approval. Buyers who do nothing stay in the class and give up the right to sue separately, but they forfeit any payment, and unclaimed funds go to the Public Justice Foundation. You may also opt out or object by November 30, 2026. The final fairness hearing is set for January 12, 2027, in Roseville, California. The page does not state whether proof of purchase is required.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
