People whose private information was exposed in the targeted cyberattack on Steel Warehouse Company's computer systems in January 2025 may be covered by this class action settlement. The affected files reportedly could have included names, Social Security numbers, addresses, driver's license or passport numbers, birth dates, and credit or debit card numbers. Steel Warehouse denies wrongdoing, and the court has not ruled on the merits. To receive any benefits or cash payment, you must submit a valid and timely claim form, which can be filed online or mailed to the settlement administrator. If you do nothing, you will receive nothing and will give up the right to sue over the covered claims. You can instead opt out to keep your right to pursue your own lawsuit, with an opt-out deadline in October 2026. Objections to the settlement are also due in October 2026, and the claim deadline is December 1, 2026. The page does not state the dollar amount of any payment, so check the claim form for details before filing.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
