This settlement resolves a class action claiming Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., now called Kenvue Brands LLC, violated Illinois' biometric privacy law by collecting data through Skin360 skin assessments. The company denies wrongdoing, but agreed to pay $4.7 million into a settlement fund. You may qualify if you used any version of Skin360, including Neutrogena Skin360, NeoStrata Skin360, or Skin360 collaborations, through a mobile or web app while located in Illinois between December 9, 2019 and May 5, 2023. Eligible class members who file timely and valid claims will share the fund pro rata after attorneys' fees, costs, service payments and administration expenses are deducted. Any leftover money that can't be distributed will go to a court-approved charity. To get paid you must submit a claim form by November 25, 2026. Doing nothing means you receive nothing but remain bound by the settlement's release. Opt-out and objection deadlines are November 10, 2026, and the final approval hearing is December 17, 2026.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
