This proposed settlement covers hourly, non-exempt workers who were employed by or assigned to work at Menasha Packaging Company, LLC or Menasha Corporation in California, including people placed through Simplified Labor Staffing Solutions and other temporary staffing agencies. The class period runs from January 15, 2017 through September 15, 2024, and a separate PAGA group covers July 31, 2018 through September 15, 2024. The lawsuit alleges unpaid overtime and minimum wage, missed meal and rest breaks, inadequate workplace conditions such as seating, restrooms and temperature, late final pay, unreimbursed work expenses, and inaccurate wage statements. You do not need to take any action to take part in the class portion; you will be included automatically and receive an individual payment based on the workweeks you worked, as shown in the notice. You may opt out of the class portion or object to the settlement by November 21, 2026, but you cannot opt out of the PAGA portion. If you disagree with your workweek count, you must submit a challenge by the same date. The final approval hearing is set for February 9, 2027.
