This class action settlement involves a data incident that may have exposed personal information of current and former patients and employees of Laboratory Services Cooperative. The settlement class covers all U.S. residents whose personal information was potentially compromised in the incident. The company denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided the case in favor of either side. A $6,100,000 settlement fund will pay notice and administrative costs, attorneys' fees and case costs, service awards for class representatives, documented out-of-pocket losses, pro-rata cash payments, and credit monitoring and medical shield services. Attorneys may request up to one third of the fund for fees. To receive benefits you must submit a valid claim form, online or by mail postmarked by the claim deadline. Other options include excluding yourself or objecting by the earlier October deadline. The court must still approve the settlement at a final hearing scheduled for January 2027.
