This proposed class action settlement involves John Deere and claims that it withheld repair tools and software for its large agricultural equipment, pushing farmers toward authorized dealers and higher repair costs. Deere denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided the case. Anyone in the United States who bought Repair Services for Deere large agricultural equipment from John Deere or its authorized dealers between January 10, 2018 and May 18, 2026 is in the class. The settlement provides $99 million in cash plus interest, shared among eligible claimants, along with injunctive relief that makes repair tools and capabilities available to farmers and independent repair providers. To get a cash payment you must file a claim form online or by mail by December 31, 2026, and the claim form is the only way to receive money. You do not need to file a claim to receive the injunctive relief. The court still must approve the settlement at a fairness hearing on January 19, 2027. Exclusion and objection deadlines are December 4, 2026.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
