People whose private information was affected by the August 2025 cyberattack on Institute for Human Resources and Services, Inc. may be eligible for benefits and a cash payment under a proposed class action settlement pending in Pennsylvania. The compromised files may have included names, birth dates, Social Security or ITIN numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, medical record numbers, and medical history information. The company denies wrongdoing, and the court has not yet decided whether to approve the deal. To receive anything, you must submit a valid claim form on time, either online through the settlement website or by mail to the settlement administrator, who can also send a paper copy. If you do nothing, you will get no payment and will give up your right to sue over the same claims. You may instead opt out or object by the earlier deadline in November. The claim deadline is December 2, 2026, and the final approval hearing is scheduled for December 17, 2026.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
