This class action settlement covers people who played or bought virtual coins in the High 5 Casino or High 5 Vegas social casino apps while in Washington state. Eligibility is based on billing address, IP address, or other information from platform providers, for purchases made between April 9, 2014 and October 1, 2022. The lawsuit claimed the in-app coin purchases violated Washington law. The defendants deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the cost and risk of continued litigation. Eligible purchasers who file a timely, properly completed claim form can receive a share of the settlement fund, which depends on their total in-app spending, how many people claim, and the amount the defendants pay over a multi-year period. You can choose electronic payment or a check, and payments may come in more than one round. Claims must be submitted online or by mail by January 4, 2027. Doing nothing means no payment and giving up the right to sue over these claims. The final approval hearing is scheduled for February 8, 2027.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
