People in the United States who received notice that their personal and health information may have been compromised in a May 2025 unauthorized access to Covenant Health's IT systems may be eligible. Patients of any Covenant Health facility can be included. The defendants deny wrongdoing, but they agreed to pay $2,000,000 into a settlement fund if the court approves. Eligible people can file a claim for a cash payment of up to $5,000 for documented losses, or an estimated $75 pro rata payment, and all class members can get two years of credit monitoring. Payments may be reduced proportionally depending on how many valid claims are filed. To receive a cash payment you must submit a claim form online or mail a paper form postmarked by December 30, 2026. Opting out or objecting must be done by December 15, 2026. Credit monitoring is available even if you do nothing.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
