File a claim

This class action settlement involves Bank of America accountholders whose claims of unauthorized debit card or ATM transactions were denied. The lawsuit alleges the bank improperly denied these claims under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, failed to explain its decisions well enough, and did not provide documents it relied on when asked. Bank of America denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle. Members who submit a valid and timely claim form will receive a pro rata, meaning equal, share of the settlement fund. The bank will also change the written notices it sends to customers whose unauthorized transfer claims are denied. The settlement releases only statutory damages, not actual damages, except for the named plaintiff. The claim deadline is December 11, 2026, and the court must still approve the settlement at a final hearing in January 2027. No payments will be made unless the court approves the deal.
