They say I got it!

How do they know where to send it when they don’t ask you for your adress and name ?

They will more than likely send it to your email for you to put on their website or something.

I find it suspicious that we all got it (I actually got it twice on two different browsers). I think this is a scam.

It’s not a scam
They do stuff like this a lot. Generally, you can get $40 of wine, but you have to pay shipping ($10). The “gift code” doesn’t cover it.

Supposedly I’m in too — This could end up being quite interesting.

An hour later and they STILL have under 500 entrants?

Last time they had a contest, every entrant got a consolation prize, which a $60 gift code. As I said, you have to buy so many bottles and you have to pay shipping..
[Reply]
I’m guessing it IS indeed a $40 GC–when you buy like $200 worth of wine-like many of the emails we get-take $10 off and in the fine print it says on purchase of $75 or more. Just throwing figures out here-but bet that’s what it is. I got in over an hour and half after posted.
[Reply]
I got it as well, but I will wait and see what the stipulations are when it comes.
[Reply]
I supposedly got in too. Would be cool to win my weight in wine!
[Reply]
hahaha i got one too.
they must of forgotten to turn off the winning message after the 500 entries. I’ll be looking for an email that apologizes for this and that i wasnt a true winner. Lets see when that happens.

It says it started on the 14th and ended on the 15th today is the 20th???

That is May 15th 2013. Maybe that is the wieght in wine portion of the promo?
[Reply]
Yeah I got $40 too just now….hope so could use a bottle of wine right now….lol
[Reply]
4:15 pm is hwen I signed up. Can’t believe they still had spots left.
[Reply]
Yeah, how cool. A “code” worth $40 at their website. But that $40 cannot be used for shipping costs, and they only do mail-order.
So the *least* this will cost you, if you do it, is $10.
Ahhh, no thanks.

has anyone actually gotten this gift code, or certificate, or whatever form the $40 bucks is supposed to come in? I got the “Good News” page this morning but I have yet to see an email or any sort of confirmation…?
Umm…

Nope, not me.
And it does seem to me that if they’re just going to tell everybody they’re a “winner” and then just e-mail a code to them, it should have been set up so that the e-mail with the code was almost instant, like with an auto-responder or something.
Can you imagine that they’re going to have some poor schmoe sitting at a desk doing a copy-and-paste in order to respond to every submission individually?
I say it’s a scam just to get e-mail addresses to spam. Yeah, I know they said they wouldn’t give out their address list, but that doesn’t prevent them from spamming the addresses they got with this gift-card scam.
[Reply]
Any updates on this? It said I won, obviously, and I haven’t received anything for it yet..
[Reply]
I got my email today with the gift card! It’s valid for 30 days and all you pay for is shipping which is $9.99
[Reply]
Yup I got my email this morning too. I didn’t see any of the bottles I’m used to drinking and I’m not sure I’m interested in paying the shipping fee on 6 bottles I might hate.
And this gift card code is tacked onto my email so I can’t even give it away. Oh well …
[Reply]
Yup, got mine today, too. You MUST purchase at least 4 bottles of wine, and there aren’t that many under $10.
I don’t figure $10 for shipping is “free.”
Deleted e-mail.
