This class action settlement involves Hampton Regional Medical Center and a cybersecurity incident that happened between June 18 and July 16, 2025, which allowed unauthorized access to or acquisition of personal information. You may be a class member if you received a letter from the medical center saying your data, such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, medical information, or other demographic details, was involved. The page says the only way to receive cash or other benefits is to submit a valid, timely claim form, which you can do online or by mail, and you can also ask the settlement administrator for a paper copy by phone. Claims must be filed by January 11, 2027. You may alternatively opt out by December 24, 2026, or object in writing by that same date. Doing nothing means you forfeit any benefits and give up the right to sue over these claims. The court has not yet decided whether to approve the settlement, and a final approval hearing is set for January 25, 2027. Questions can be directed to the settlement administrator at (833) 453-3806.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
