This proposed class action settlement involves a cybersecurity incident in August 2024 at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, in which a criminal gained unauthorized access to the school's network. People who received notice that their private information may have been affected are likely covered. That information could have included names, Social Security numbers, financial details, health insurance and medical information, passport or driver's license numbers, and student records. The college denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided that it did anything wrong. To receive benefits, you must submit a valid claim form on time, either online through the settlement website or by downloading the form and mailing it to the settlement administrator. If you do nothing, you stay in the class but receive no payment and give up the right to sue. You may opt out or object by the October 2026 deadline. The court still must approve the settlement at a final hearing scheduled for December 2026.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
