People who bought Theranos blood testing services at Walgreens stores in Arizona or California may be part of a class action settlement. The court granted final approval on February 6, 2024. Walgreens agreed to pay $44 million into a settlement fund, and the remaining Theranos assets add roughly $1.33 million more. Payments are based on what each class member paid for their testing, with some adjustments. If you received a settlement notice by mail or email, the records indicate you are in the class, and you generally do not need to do anything to receive a check. If your name or address was wrong on the notice, you can update your contact information on the website. The deadline to object has already passed, but class members still receive payments. Defendants deny the allegations, and the court has not ruled on who is right. Questions can be directed to the settlement administrator by phone, email, or mail.
We're not a law firm; the official settlement site has the final word.
