http://momsdinnerhelper.com/?page_id=435 -thanks kathi -they have a Kitchen Timer, Apron, Reusable Shopping Bag, Pot Holder, Potato Peeler, Grocery List Stationary, and Bag Clip which you can get when you earn points by creating a profile, rating recipes, posting, etc. -placing an order doesn’t seem to go through yet, maybe the points have to be approved first

Chris replied on December 27th, 2008 :
you get points immediately after rating recipes, but the order doesnt seem to go through

kathisierra replied on December 27th, 2008 :
haven’t tried to redeem yet, as I don’t have enough points yet.
Hm, they aren’t redeeming for me either.

Chris replied on December 27th, 2008 :

Well I redeemed 200 for a grocery list but can’t tell if it took, as they keep adding points onto my total?

kathisierra replied on December 27th, 2008 :

How are you guys earning points? I can’t seem to figure it out…
Reply
kathisierra replied on December 27th, 2008 :
create a profile, thats 50 points, then comment and rate recipes for more points.

Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
Thank you!

Looks like I’ll be rating lots of recipes. Glad I’m not hungry!
Reply
Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
I’m not hungry anymore, because I’ve been eating chocolate truffles
Time to go get some more
Reply
Jamie replied on December 27th, 2008 :
OMG YUMM!! Did you make them?
Reply
Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
No, definitely not! (BWAHAHA the thought of me making truffles…they wouldn’t turn out edible!) They’re Russel Stover, and they actually taste quite bad
. I have an assortment and all of them taste the same. I don’t know why I was eating them…maybe because I just wanted some chocolate. Anyways, I decided not to go get more, and instead I got an apple
I don’t see where the points are..

Jamie replied on December 27th, 2008 :

bridgette replied on December 27th, 2008 :
nevermind also…
Is there anywhere on this site that u can actually see the items you are redeeming your points for?
Reply
Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
Nope, only the name of the item I’m afraid. I found this to be quite frustrating.

Cyndie replied on December 27th, 2008 :

wow! WTG!!!
kathisierra replied on December 27th, 2008 :
there’s probably a two item limit and only 1000 points for your state.
Don’t forget to do your Prilosec and MyPoints.

Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
What do you get from mypoints? Is it easy?
Reply
smiley replied on December 27th, 2008 :
easy peasey.. but they take forever to approve your points!
Reply
Dellia replied on December 27th, 2008 :
Gracias, I’ll go check it out.
smiley replied on December 27th, 2008 :
oh forgot.. you can redeem your points for gift cards/certificates
Just curious, but how long does it take to get a gift card?
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to buy some cute Birkenstocks from Amazon…so I need some gift cards to there, but it’s like 2,000 points.

I redeemed for the kitchen timer and it took my points but when I look in potato points redemption orders, I don’t see it. Has this happened to anyone else?
Reply
It says while supplies last for the prizes.
Maybe they ran out?
Reply
Chris replied on December 27th, 2008 :
nah I dont think so. the site didnt have that much activity before this, I think its just a problem with their site. Hopefully it’ll be resolved by this week
Reply
took the points for the one timer. now that i have earned 3800 points it won’t let me redeem for anything else
Reply
Reply
argh it’s so frustrating that as soon as you hit enter after putting in your info, your points go back up
Reply
I don’t see the points I should have earned.
Where are they?

Chris replied on December 28th, 2008 :

Folks, Meredith here, from Mom’s Dinner Helper. First I want to thank EVERYONE for checking out our online resource for all-things-potatoes.
We’ve seen a tremendous jump in visitors over the past four days, and of course they were days I was on vacation! Alas, I’ve returned and am reviewing all the great comments and potato recipes that have been uploaded.
I apologize to everyone who was frustrated with the process for redeeming points for prizes. A couple of the comments above were spot on–all comments have to be approved prior to points being redeemable. You shouldn’t have any problems at this point–so come on back and claim your prizes! (Please allow time for processing of your prizes.)
If you have questions, comments, concerns about http://www.momsdinnerhelper.com, please comment on the site with questions. Let us me know what other subjects you’d like to talk about or if you want to see more on ones already posted. We’ve been up and running for just four months and your input is taken very seriously. I’ll get back to you just as soon as possible!
Happy New Year to you!
Meredith Myers, http://www.momsdinnerhelper.com
PS. Remember, potatoes, at about $0.25 per potato at most supermarkets, are the one of the best food deals around!
