LOL, my friend’s dog, is afraid of lightening. This dog is 10 years old… and NOW … after all this time just begun to be afraid. I don’t get that.

That happened to mine as well. She’s 8, and HATES thunderstorms now. She never used to be bad, now she crys and gets upset when there is thunder

So does Casey, my husband wanted her to be a hunting dog (lab) but she’s not.. her nickname is Scardey Dog. She’s 9 also. big baby.

same with our dog, he is 8, will be 9 in Dec, and now the thunder and lightening seem to bother his ears, think its the same as people, as we age, we no longer tolerate the blaring loud music we loved when we were young.

It was kind of funny, yet sad when I was over at my friends house and we were popping that free bag of Real Theater Popcorn on the stove and his dog ran so fast into the bedroom underneath his bed. I didnt know what it was that zoomed by so fast, at first. I guess the dog couldn’t stand the loud popping any longer and had to go somewhere else
