Players of Around the World in 80 clicks by Samsonite can access the game via the url (http://www.aroundtheworldin80clicks.com), or via the international Samsonite Facebook page on (http://apps.facebook.com/eightyclicks). Players will be required to register and enter their first name, last name, email address, country and city. It will be also required for all Players to have their location (“lives in” and “country”) indicated and accessible on their Facebook profiles. Players will be then invited to select up to four of their abroad Facebook Friends and launch them one Samsonite suitcase each. If they don’t select the allowed number of Friends, they will keep the possibility to launch the remaining suitcases whenever they connect again to the game. Prior to launching their suitcases, Players will be able to visualize, on a World map, a suggested list of their Friends, but they will have also the possibility to select other Friends from a Facebook Friends’ picker list. Once a Player has launched a suitcase, the chains that will be generated from that launch will be live for a period of three weeks. If a Player launches suitcases at different moments, it will be the day of the launch of each suitcase that will count for the three weeks period of time. After that period the chains will be frozen until the end of the game. The targeted Friends will then receive a Facebook notification informing them they have to catch a suitcase sent by one of their friends. If they catch it and re- launch it to some of their own Friends, the chain between the two Players will be credited with the amount of Miles/Kilometers that separates them. A message will also be displayed on their Facebook wall, informing their Friends they are playing at the aroundtheworldin80clicks game. Players will have access to the status of their suitcases (pending, accepted, re- launched). They will also be able to visualize on a World Map the longest chain generated by each of their launches and the longest chain in which they are participating. A board displaying contenders for the longest chain will also be accessible (Ranking). A sub ranking will also display, by chain, the Players having achieved the longest launches in that chain. In order to stay updated, Players will get regular status mails on their chains, will get notifications when a Friend has accepted and re-launched a suitcase, and will also be able to bookmark their suitcases. Bonus: Two kinds of bonuses will be offered to the Players: If a Player becomes Fan of the Samsonite international Facebook page, (s)he will get another chance to launch up to four suitcases. If (s)he is already Fan at the moment of his/her registration (s)he will get up to eight suitcases to launch. Each time that a suitcase travels through 10 (ten) different countries, the chain generated by that suitcase will be rewarded with 10,000 Km (6,213.711 Miles). The three chains totalizing the highest amount of Miles/Kilometers will be the winning chains. Participants of the three winning chains will win a Cosmolite Spinner 55 Silver suitcase, with a maximum of 50 suitcases per winning chain. If a winning chain consists out of more than 50 Players, the 50 Players having achieved the 50 longest launches (in Miles or Kilometers) will win the suitcases, with one suitcase per Player. The first prize will be attributed to the Player of one of the winning chains who has achieved the longest of all launches (in Miles or Kilometers) with one of his/her suitcases.
