Dutch Boy Paints 2012 Restore My Décor Win a Designer & Weekly Paint Contest

Enter the Contest by clicking on the ‘Enter a Room You Want Restored by Lisa LaPorta or our Design Panel’ icon. For your entry, choose a room in your home that you believe is in need of a custom room design and makeover and submit the following: (a) one picture of your room in JPG format no larger than 3 MB; (b) a written description of your room and why you believe that it needs a design and room makeover and (c) complete the online entry form including name, address, and e-mail address. For the Second Prize, the room entered must be a child or teen room to be eligible (Sponsor reserves the right to determine criteria for child or teen room). By entering this Contest, you represent and warrant that (a) your entry does not violate any third party’s rights, and (b) that you have complied with these Official Rules.
There is no limit to the number of unique rooms submitted; however repeat entry of the same room is prohibited.
JUDGING
OPPORTUNITY FOR GREATEST ROOM TRANSFORMATION : 50%
UNIQUE ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF THE ROOM : 20%
CURRENT DÉCOR ITEMS TO USE IN DESIGN : 20%
GENERAL CONDITION OF THE ROOM : 10%
PRIZES: GRAND PRIZE (1): The Grand Prize Winner will receive a room makeover prize package to restore the room entered in the Contest, consisting of expert design consultation and implementation by Lisa LaPorta. The Grand Prize Winner will receive recommendations for design elements to incorporate into the room, such as furnishings, fabrics, and materials to compliment the existing décor as well as Dutch Boy® paint (colors to be determined by Lisa’s design concept; number of paint gallons to be determined by the dimensions of Grand Prize Winner’s room). Lisa will personally travel to the Grand Prize winner’s home with her team and execute her design to restore the room over the duration of three to four (3-4) days as mutually agreed by Lisa and the Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize package includes painting supplies and labor necessary to restore the room; provided, however, the total Grand Prize package awarded will not exceed $5,000.00 USD.
SECOND PRIZE (1): The Second Prize Winner will receive room makeover prize package to restore a child or teen’s room entered in the Contest, consisting of expert design consultation and implementation by a Dutch Boy design panelist. The Second Prize Winner will receive recommendations for design elements to incorporate into the room, such as furnishings, fabrics, and materials to compliment the existing décor as well as Dutch Boy® Crayola™paint (colors to be determined by the design panelist’s concept; number of paint gallons to be determined by the dimensions of Second Prize Winner’s room). The design panelist will personally travel to the Second Prize winner’s home with his/her team and execute the design to restore the room over the duration of three to four (3-4) days as mutually agreed by the panelist and the Second Prize winner. The Second Prize package includes painting supplies and labor necessary to restore the room; provided, however, the total Second Prize package awarded will not exceed $2,500.00 USD
MONTHLY PRIZES (20): For the duration of the Contest (5 months), a total of four (4) monthly prizes will be awarded each month. Each monthly prize will consist of the following: Dutch Boy paint color recommendations, design elements to incorporate into the room, furnishing suggestions, fabrics and materials to compliment the décor as well as a sketch of the restored room. In addition, each entry will be featured on www.restoremydecor.com. In total, twenty (20) winners will receive expert design advice on their room from either Lisa LaPorta or the design panel. Approximate retail value of each monthly prize package: $200.00 USD for a total of $4,000.00 USD for all monthly prizes. The total approximate retail value of all Prizes for the Contest is: $11,500.00 USD.
Restore My Décor ‘Weekly Paint’ Sweepstakes
begins on June 7, 2012 at 12:00:01 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on December 7, 2012 at 11:59:59 pm ET
(26) WEEKLY PRIZES: A total of twenty-six (26) weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the Sweepstakes. Each weekly prize consists of two (2) gallons of Dutch Boy Refresh paint, in one color and one sheen of winner’s choice (ARV $50.00 USD). The total approximate retail value of all weekly prizes for the Sweepstakes is $1,300.00 USD.
