EARNING POINTS: A Contestant may earn points in the following ways:
Five (5) Challenges per week for captains, deckhands, and boats based on general actions in the Show.
Five (5) Bonus Challenges per week based on what happens in the Show.
One (1) Bonus Question per week based on what happened in the previous week’s Show.
Earning Badges associated with specific activities.
The number of points earned from the various challenges, questions, and badges will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion and posted on the Website throughout the Competition Period. Sponsor reserves the right to add or delete point opportunities and to amend the allocation of points for certain actions for any reason, in its sole discretion. For the avoidance of confusion, no points will be awarded for events that occur during flashbacks, replays, or previews of any kind.
WINNER SELECTION: The Competition consists of one (1) Weekly Prize winner for each week of the Competition Period and one (1) overall Grand Prize winner for the entire Competition Period. Weekly Prize winners will be determined based upon the total number of points each Contestant has accumulated throughout the specified week. The Grand Prize winner will be determined based upon the total number of points each Contestant has accumulated throughout the Competition Period.
Only one (1) Weekly Prize will be permitted per each unique e-mail address over the course of the entire Competition Period (once you have won a Weekly Prize, you are ineligible to win any other Weekly Prizes).
One (1) Grand Prize: winner’s choice of a Discovery Adventure Trip for two people from among any of the following Discovery Adventure trips which have a guaranteed departure up to December 31, 2013: India (AHSPD), Classic China (ACCAD), Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam (ATICD), Thailand & Angkor Wat (ATTWD), Costa Rica (CRCRD), Morocco (DCMDD), Egypt (DPESD), Jordan (DWWJD), Turkey (ETTTD), Iceland (ELIAD), Historic Parks of the Southwestern United States (NUSWD), Eastern Europe (Germany) (EDEED), Rome (EIARD), Mexico (CMMCD), Argentina & Brazil (SAABD),or Machu Picchu (SPPID). The prize includes of round trip coach air travel for two people from the major commercial airport closest to winner’s residence to chosen destination; standard double-occupancy accommodations for duration of trip; daily excursions and guided tours; and some meals. Services of a professional travel specialist who will coordinate and book all travel components are included. Approximate Retail Value will range in value from $7,198 to $11,510 depending on trip chosen. Trip must be completed by December 31, 2013, or prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
Weekly Prizes: Nine (9) Weekly Prizes, one (1) for each week of the Competition Period, will be awarded, each consisting of Deadliest Catch merchandise from the Discovery Store such as a coaster set, a mug, or a hat. Weekly Prizes will range in value from $9.95 to $29.95.
