you must also upload a video, or a photograph and an essay (up to 250 words), explaining why you deserve a motorcycle upgrade, along with which upgrade you are entering for your chance to win: (1) V-Twin or (2) Racing 4T. PLEASE NOTE: You must select which upgrade motorcycle package you wish to receive if you are selected as a finalist. Any entry that does not include which motorcycle upgrade package you wish to receive if you are deemed the winner will be automatically disqualified.
LIMIT: Only one (1) entry into the Contest per person, per mailing address or email address during the Contest Period regardless of the method of entry.
JUDGING: FINALIST DETERMINATION: On or about April 3, 2014, all entries will be judged by a qualified judging panel, selected by Sponsor, based on the following judging criteria and percentages: creativity and originality (33.4%); adherence to the theme (33.3%); and how well the video or photograph depicts the story of why entrant deserves to upgrade their ride (33.4%). The two (2) entries with the highest score using the preceding judging criteria for each motorcycle category (either the V-Twin or Racing 4T, as appearing on the entry) (“Category”) to be given away will be deemed the finalists (each, a “Finalist”), for a total of four (4) Finalists. Each Finalist will move on to the Grand Prize Winner Determination public voting round. In the event of a tie between any two entries, the entry with the highest score in the how well the video or photograph depicts the story of why entrant deserves to upgrade their ride criterion will be deemed the winner from among all tying entries. The third through twenty-seventh top-scoring entries in each Category will be deemed Runner-Up winners, for a total of 50 Runner-Up winners. Each Runner-Up winner will receive a Runner-Up prize.
GRAND PRIZE WINNERS DETERMINATION: Then, from 12:00:01 a.m. ET on April 9, 2014 to 11:59:59 p.m. ET on April 23, 2014 (“Public Voting Period”) the two Finalists for each Category will be available on the Advance Auto Parts Facebook page for public voting where the public can vote for their favorite photograph and essay or video from among all Finalists photographs or videos. Judging criteria for the Finalist in each Category is based on the most votes, determined by the Finalists with the most “Likes” on the Advance Auto Parts Facebook page, during the Public Voting Period.
PRIZES: Two (2) Grand Prizes (One [1] Grand Prize winner per Category)—A V-Twin Package for the V-Twin Grand Prize winner and a Racing 4T Package for the Racing 4T Grand Prize winner. Each package includes expert consultation plus $5,000.00 to $8,000.00 in parts to put toward upgrade. Approximate retail value (ARV) of each Grand Prize is $15,000.00.
Four (4) Finalist Prizes (Two [2] Finalist winner per Category)—A Sponsor-specified, Mobil 1™–branded prize pack. ARV of each Finalist Prize is $300.00.
Fifty (50) Runner-Up prizes (Twenty-five [25] Runner-Up winners per Category)—A Daytona Bike Week T-shirt. ARV of each Runner-Up prize is $15.00. Total prize pool ARV is $31,950.00.
