32 commercials from the Big Game are faced off against one another in a playoff style bracket.
Each participant selects the winner of each of 31 matchups in 5 rounds of play.
Match winners are determined by the aggregate user picks across all participants.
Timeline
Pre-registration opens on Friday, January 17th.
Game bracket will be available to fill out approximately 1 hour after conclusion of the Big Game on February 2nd, 2014.
Brackets close at 12PM PST / 3PM EST on Wednesday, Feb 5th.
Winning bracket and game winner will be announced on Wednesday, Feb 5th.
Prizes & Scoring Rules
The initial 32 ad field and matchups are set up by iSpot.
Each user selects the winner of each matchup.
There are a total of 31 matchups in 5 rounds.
Each user gets 1 point for each correct pick made in round 1, 2 points for each correct pick in round 2, 4 points for each correct pick in round 3, 8 points for each correct pick in round 4 and 12 points for the championship match.
The actual winner of each match up is determined by the aggregate user picks across all entries.
The user with the most points is the winner of the game.
If there is a tie, then the tie breaker is determined by user who submitted their bracket first.
The winner of game will win the grand prize of $2,500.

General. The objective of the Promotion is to accumulate the most points by correctly selecting the “Winner” for each head-to-head “Match Up” of commercials aired during the Big Game on February 2, 2014. The 32 commercials in the game will be selected and seeded solely at the discretion of iSpot.tv. Once the 32 ad field is selected and locked, the first round Match Ups will remain the same for all entries. b. How to make your selections. Each game participant will be presented with a series of Match Ups of two commercials side-by-side. There will be a total of sixteen (16) Match Ups presented to each user in the first round of play. Each user will select their winning commercial, using their skill and knowledge of which TV Commercial has the greater mass appeal, as described in section 6(c) below. Based on each user’s picks in the prior round, each user will be presented with eight (8) Match Ups during the second round, four (4) Match Ups during the third round, two (2) Match Ups during the fourth round and the final championship Match Up in the fifth round. The TV commercial selected in the championship match will be that user’s Big Game Champion Commercial.
Scoring. From all eligible entries received, the winner will be determined based on their ability to use their skill and knowledge of TV advertisements to accumulate the most points. The winning TV commercial of each Match Up will be determined by the aggregate user selections from across all eligible entries (each, a “Winning Commercial”). Each participant’s Match Up selections will be scored against each Winning Commercial. For each correct selection made in the first round of play, a user will receive one (1) point. For each correct selection made in the second round of play, a user will receive two (2) points. For each correct selection made in the third round of play, a user will receive four (4) points. For each correct selection made in the fourth round of play, a user will receive eight (8) points. A user who selects the Big Game Champion Commercial correctly will receive twelve (12) points. A user does not receive or lose points for an incorrect selection. The eligible entry that accumulates the most points will be deemed the winner of the Spot Bowl Playoff Contest, subject to the tie-breaker procedure below.
PRIZES. The winning eligible entry will receive a cash prize of $2,500.00.
