Rattlesnake Cable Company – Farm Pedals Giveaway

https://kingsumo.com/g/l0patu/rattlesnake-cable-company-farm-pedals?
We are really excited to be working with Farm Pedals again. It’s been a few years since we did a collab giveaway with them. Geof Hancock in Maine founded Farm Pedals. Not only does he make pedals, but he and his family own and run a functional farm – Hancock Family Farm! We love family-based businesses since we obviously can relate here at Rattlesnake Cable Company.

Geof was kind enough to offer up the Boost Of The Dead pedal, and we’re offering up a pair of 15′ custom instrument cables – you pick the type (Standard/Snake Head) and the Neutrik nickel plug configuration.

But let’s talk about the Farm Pedals Boost Of The Dead pedal!

“Catch all Jerry Garcia style preamp pedal. This pedal contains versions of three buffering preamp style circuits Garcia used over the years.

The first circuit, the toggle, is a take on the Jerry Garcia Tiger Buffer. This buffer cleans up the signal really nicely, it adds clarity and sparkle.

Next, second circuit, the B on the right, is our version of the Stratoblaster circuit. Before the Tiger Buffer was put into Jerry’s guitars, he most utilized the Alembic Stratoblaster. It fattens up, and can add growl, to both single coils and humbuckers.

Finally, third in line, the G on the left, is a modified Mutron style gain-stage. Old Mutron Envelope Filters are not true bypass, the gain-stage is always in the signal path, and for a time in the late seventies Garcia used the bypassed Mutron as his line driver. This circuit does an excellent job conditioning the signal, is a great overdrive, and provides a different tonal character than blaster type circuits. This circuit is a little warmer, thicker in the middle, and has less overall grit than the blaster style buffer boost… but is just as loud!

Jacks: In on the Right, Out on the Left

Toggle: Tiger Style Buffer

Right Knob: Blaster

Left Knob: Mu Gain

Right Footswitch: Blaster Style Boost

Left Footswitch: Mu Style Boost

This pedal does not pretend to make you sound like Jerry, is not a part for part clone of any other pedal, and doesn’t guarantee anything to anyone… I built this for fun, and it should be used to have fun.”

The combined cables retail for $130 and the Boost of the Dead retails for $179. The combined retail value of this package is $309.
