HOW TO ENTER: Watch at least one (1) episode of the Show during the Entry Period. Following the broadcast of each Show that you watch during the Entry Period, go to http://ellen.warnerbros.com/summe…/index.php and:
(1) Answer a question about the episode of the Show that was broadcast on the day you are entering (or if you are submitting an entry on a Saturday or Sunday during the Entry Period the question will concern the episode of the Show broadcast on the previous Friday);
(2) Complete the Contest registration form by entering the following information: your name, address (P.O. boxes not accepted), telephone number (with area code), alternate telephone number, if any (with area code), e-mail address; and date of birth. You must also check the box that states you have read and accept the Official Rules for this Contest.
(3) Complete an essay about yourself in 150 words or less in the box provided on the entry form (“Essay”). You only need to submit as Essay once. If you enter the Contest more than once, an Essay is not required for your second and subsequent entries.
Those who do not fill in all the required fields will be disqualified.
Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize consisting of roundtrip coach airfare for Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest to Los Angeles, California from major airport nearest to winner’s city of residence as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion; hotel accommodations (single room, double occupancy) in Los Angeles; ground transportation in Los Angeles; two (2) VIP tickets to attend the taping of an episode of the Show while the Grand Prize winner and guest are in Los Angeles (date of taping to be determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion).
Daily Prizes: A prize will be awarded to one (1) winner for each weekday of the Entry Period. Each weekday Prize winner will be selected based on the Essay submitted with their entry. Each Essay will be judged by Sponsor based on the following criteria: (a) Originality 33 1/3%; (b) Creativity 33 1/3%; and (c) Need/Sincerity 33 1/3% (the “Judging Criteria:”). The entrant’s Essay which earns the highest overall score will be announced as the winner of that day’s Prize. In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected from the entrant with the highest Originality score; in the event there still remains a tie, the winner will be selected from the entrant with the highest Creativity score. Individuals who submit more than one entry during the Entry Period are eligible to win more than one daily Prize. Daily Prize winners are eligible to win the Grand Prize. Daily prizes will be awarded on or about on or about September 12, 2011.
