WGBH – Masterpiece 40th Anniversary Sweepstakes

Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded and shall be comprised of the following:
(a) Two (2) roundtrip economy class tickets for the Winner and one (1) adult companion on British Airways from one of the following British Airways gateway cities in the United States to London, United Kingdom: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, Washington-Dulles;
(b) Hotel accommodations for two (2) people for three (3) nights in total, consisting of one (1) night in Bath and two (2) nights in Oxford, United Kingdom. Hotel accommodations will be provided by MacDonald Hotels & Resorts and shall consist of one (1) standard room at double occupancy with breakfast;
(c) One (1) Evening Meal will be provided for two (2) people on Day 2 of the itinerary in Oxford;
(d) A VisitBritain Great British Heritage Pass for entrance into, and a VIP private guided tour arranged by VisitBritain through Tours International, of each of the following locations in the United Kingdom: Greenway (National Trust), Highclere Castle and Blenheim Palace;
(e) Ground transportation, including pickup and arrival at London airport, to and from hotels in Bath and Oxford and to and from each VIP Tour; and
(f) A one-way British Rail pass for each of the Winner and his/her travel companion from Oxford to Heathrow Airport.
8. GRAND PRIZE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:
(a) The Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not described in Paragraph 7 above, including, but not limited to, taxes, fees or any meals not set forth above, gratuities, insurance, personal and hotel incidentals, and any additional transfers and/or ground transportation.
(b) The Winner and his/her travel companion each must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid United States Passport with an expiration date after December 31, 2011.
(c) The Winner and his/her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and must travel on the following dates: September 11, 2011 – September 15, 2011. The Winner and his/her companion are solely responsible for traveling to and from the US airport from which the British Airways flights depart and return. If the Winner and/or his/her travel companion are unable to participate in any part of the Grand Prize, for any reason, including visa restrictions, such potential Winner shall forfeit any and all rights to the Grand Prize.
(d) Once travel documents are issued, neither travel arrangements nor the identity of the persons traveling may be changed without the express written approval of WGBH, which may be withheld for any reason whatsoever.
(e) The Winner and his/her travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining all required travel documents and travel insurance and hereby acknowledges that WGBH has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance.
(f) WGBH shall not be responsible for any cancellation, delay, diversion or substitution, or any act or omission whatsoever by the air carriers, hotel or other transportation companies or any other person providing any of these services and accommodations, including but not limited to any change in services or accommodations necessitated by same.
(g) The Grand Prize may not be transferred or assigned to another person, and may not be exchanged for a different Grand Prize or redeemed for cash or any other consideration. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by WGBH, who reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by WGBH in its sole discretion.
(h) The Winner will be solely responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees and surcharges on the Grand Prize, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses and insurance associated with Grand Prize acceptance and use not specified herein.
(i) The Winner will be required to provide his/her Social Security number for tax reporting purposes on prizes valued over $600. WGBH will file an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the value of the Grand Prize.
(j) WGBH makes no, and disclaims, all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, merchantability, of the Grand Prize.
APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF GRAND PRIZE: The approximate retail value (the “ARV”) of the Grand Prize is US$4,755 and resale is strictly prohibited.
