Rubio’s Stand Up for the Ocean Story Contest

sharing a story of how they stand up for the ocean.Contestants entries will be judged based on the following criteria: How their efforts impact the ocean and/or
ocean-life, how their actions impact and influence future generations, and how they inspire others to follow their lead to impact the ocean, too. Entries must be 1,000 words or less. In addition, each story shared equals a $1 donation to the Surfrider Foundation San Diego Chapter from Rubio’s (maximum donation of $5,000).
Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive an 8 day/7 night hotel stay that includes a two bedroom unit that sleeps up to six people. Winner will also receive $1,000 in spending money. The Grand Prize winner will have his/her choice of locations: Riviera Maya, Acapulco, Cancun or Los Cabos at the Grand Mayan Resort. Grand Prize winner must be 21 years of age to be eligible to win this prize. Trip must be taken on date specified by Sponsor. The following holiday weeks are excluded: Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, President’s Dayand Easter. Trip must be taken prior to December 15, 2013. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the Official Rules of this Contest, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of Grand Prize is $3,400.

One (1) First Place winner will receive an iPad 2. ARV of the First Place prize is $399.

Ten (10) Second Place prizes will be awarded consisting of Rubio’s prize packs containing one of each
of the following:
Rubio’s $10 free meal coupon
Rubio’s beach towel
Rubio’s reusable water bottle
Rubio’s drawstring backpack
Rubio’s beach ball
Rubio’s keychain
ARV of each Second Place prize is $30.00.
