Is your idea of a perfect somewhere a blast from the past beachside paradise unchanged by the modern world? If so, Hotels.com has the gig for you as the “Retro Beach Motelier.”

The gig comes with a $10K stipend to travel back in time to the best retro beach motels across the USA – like The Pearl Hotel in San Diego and Vagabond Hotel in Miami – and a $5K “salary” to spend on classic beachside snacks (that’s a lot of frozen custard, taffy and snow cones!). You’ll also be armed with old-school seaside accessories, including high SPF zinc, striped umbrellas, vintage sunnies, a cooler for beachside beverages, and a solar-powered AM/FM radio.
