One (1) potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about 8/30/2014 and receive a Grand Prize consisting of:
(i) round trip coach airfare to Vitoria Airport, Spain, departing from John F. Kennedy airport in New York on the special flight named below for two (2) people;
(ii) two (2) night stay, double occupancy at Hotel Ercilla in Bilbao, three (3) night stay, double occupancy at Hotel Canciller Ayala in Vitoria, two (2) night stay, double occupancy at Hotel NH Aranzazu in San Sebastian;
(iii) breakfast each morning;
(iv) a self-guided pintxos tour lunch;
(v) a wine country lunch in the historic village of La Guardia;
(vi) A Rioja wine country tour and tasting;
(vii) a gala reception in a historic palace;
(viii) private group airport transfers & ground transportation in the company of a talented local guide to offer background and tips on each place you’ll go.
Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize estimated at $3,649. Grand Prize Winner and accompanying traveler must read and agree to the terms and conditions set forth by Iberia Airlines and Romotur on the Basque in it website in order to participate in the awarded flight and tour.

The Independent Explorer Tour Itinerary Brief
Oct 4, Day 1: Depart JFK on Iberia, enjoy an on‐board wine tasting.
Oct 5, Day 2: Arrive VIT and you’re whisked to Bilbao with a helpful guide on board to introduce you to Bilbao and the region. A fun pintxos route and the gorgeous Guggenheim await.
Oct 6, Day 3: Free time to explore Bilbao’s historic parte vieja, restaurants, cafés and shops. (Or take us up on the options: an excursion to the stunning Bizkaia Bridge and old port, or a day at a local foodie event featuring tastings with top chefs of the region.)
Oct 7, Day 4: Head to the Rioja wine region on a drive that shows off ancient vineyards and views of avant‐garde winery architecture, plus a visit and tasting at one of the Rioja Alavesa’s favorite wineries. Stay in the charming center of Vitoria.
Oct 8, Day 5: Free time in Vitoria, the region’s friendly capital, which was named this year’s “Gastronomic Capital of Spain” for its excellent ingredients, markets, and cooking. Your hotel is an easy stroll to its lovely museums and shops.
Oct 9, Day 6: Continue on to San Sebastián, a gem of a small city set on an elegant curve of beach. Stroll the La Concha boardwalk or focus on food because this city’s got it all, from pintxos bars to Michelin stars. (An optional pintxos passport tour is available.)
Oct 10, Day 7: Free time to enjoy the city and its boardwalk and beaches, visit the La Bretxa market, climb the surrounding hills for the views, eat…fall in love. (We are offering an optional trip today to a txakoli winery and lunch on the coast.)
Oct 11, Day 8: After one last morning in San Sebastián, return to Vitoria in time to celebrate the trip at a reception at Villa Suso, a renaissance palace.
Oct 12: Day 9: Departures. Breakfast, check‐out, transfer to VIT for your return to JFK.
