Alvin & The Chipmunks: CHIPwrecked Amtrak Sweepstakes
One (1) Grand Prize is available. Grand Prize is an Amtrak Vacations San Diego, CA, trip package for family of four (comprised of the Grand Prize winner and one adult and up to two (2) children under the age of 18) to San Diego, CA. Trip package consists of:
– Roundtrip rail and/or air travel (to be determined by Amtrak in its sole discretion) between winner’s home city and Los Angeles, CA;
– Coach Class Roundtrip Amtrak rail between Los Angeles and San Diego, CA;
– three (3) night’s accommodations at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, in San Diego, CA;
– Gray Line Seaworld Tour including transportation and
– one (1) dinner at the Hard Rock Café in San Diego, CA.
Total value of all prizes $4,525.00. Trip must be taken by April 30, 2013 or such prize will be forfeited in its entirety. If a potential prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her Minor, prize will be awarded in the name of prize winner’s parent or legal guardian. The Grand Prize trip is valid for up to two (2) adults and up to two (2) children under the age of 18, quad occupancy. Grand Prize winner and guests must travel on the same itinerary and each possess all required travel documents, if applicable. The Grand Prize winner and guests are solely responsible for all costs, incidentals, and expenses not specifically mentioned as part of the prize, including but not limited to, unspecified ground transportation, unspecified meals, gratuities and incidentals incurred during travel. Grand Prize travel on Amtrak trains subject to Amtrak’s Conditions of Carriage/Terms of Transportation. Substitutions and upgrades are not permitted. Grand Prize Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel standard hotel accommodations are for one room, quad occupancy at the property selected by Amtrak Vacations. Tours offered by Amtrak Vacations, subject to availability. If Amtrak (in its sole discretion) determines the winner is not in proximity to an Amtrak station, coach class air transportation for up to four (4) will be provided in lieu of Amtrak train travel from the major airport nearest winner’s home to Los Angeles to begin the journey and from Los Angeles to end the journey. Grand Prize travel on Amtrak is roundtrip, coach class, for four (4) between Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA. All travel arrangements will be decided at Amtrak’s discretion. Amtrak Vacations reserves the right to substitute prize (or prize component) of equal or greater value. Grand Prize travel is subject to availability and certain blackout dates may apply. Travel in conjunction with this award is not permitted during Amtrak’s peak blackout period: April 5-6, 2012 and April 9, 2012; May 25, 2012; August 31, 2012; September 3, 2012; October 5, 2012; November 20-21, 2012; November 24-26, 2012; December 20-23, 2012; December 26-30, 2012; January 2, 2013; February 15, 2013; February 18, 2013; March 28-29, 2013; and April 1, 2013. Grand Prize trip reservations must be confirmed with Amtrak Vacations thirty (30) days in advance of travel date. Grand Prize Winner and guests must book their travel at the same time and must travel on the same itinerary. The Grand Prize trip is subject to seat availability, as well as Amtrak’s terms and conditions generally applicable thereto. The trip may not be combined with any other Amtrak offer. Grand Prize winner and guests will be responsible for all necessary travel authorizations and for any travel insurance. Once Grand Prize trip reservations are ticketed/booked, no changes are permitted. Amtrak tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and are not valid for upgrades or Amtrak Guest Rewards. Grand Prize cannot be bartered, transferred, or sold; it has no cash value. The Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in the Official Rules. Grand Prize winner or one of his/her guests must have/present at least one major credit card in good standing in order to check into hotel. If Grand Prize winner elects to travel with fewer than three (3) guests, no additional compensation will be awarded. Grand Prize must be used in its entirety. Other Grand Prize restrictions may apply. Once determined, no change, extension or substitution of travel dates are permitted, except by Sponsor or Amtrak at their sole discretion. If Grand Prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must be determined to be the Grand Prize winner. If the guest is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must be the Grand Prize winner or one of the designated guests. ARV for Grand Prize trip may vary depending upon points of departure and destination and fare fluctuations. Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the Grand Prize ARV in these Official Rules. Amtrak reserves the right to structure the travel route. No substitution, transfer, upgrades or cash equivalent for a prize (or prize component) permitted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize (or prize component) with one of equal or greater value for any reason at their sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to replace any merchandise with a newer model or version of same; but, in such event, Sponsor will continue to use the value of the “old” (i.e., replaced) item for purposes of calculating the ARV.
