respond to the question “Why do you and your family need a Magical Gathering?” in 250 words or less (the “Essay”), and submit a family group photo (the “Photo” and collectively with the entry form and Essay, the “Submission”) for consideration. Essay submission form will NOT provide a word count. Entrant is responsible for ensuring their Essay meets the word count requirement prior to submitting. Any Essay exceeding the 250 word count will be disqualified.
Entrants must be a legal United States resident and physically reside within the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States and Washington D.C., 21+
Limit one (1) Submission per person for the duration of the Contest.
On or about Tuesday, November 30, 2021, up to five thousand (5,000) Submissions will be selected at random to progress to Submission Review, Evaluation & Judging.
Eligible Submissions will be judged in accordance with the following weighted criteria (“Judging Criteria”) to select ten (10) potential Finalists based on the criteria and weighting below:
Emotional Quality of the Essay: 40%
Inspirational Quality of Essay: 30%
Creativity of Essay and Photo: 30%
On or about Friday, December 20, 2021, up to ten (10) potential Finalists, as determined by the judging results, will be notified via the email associated with the Submission. Potential Finalists will be required to respond as directed by the Administrator to the notification within forty-eight (48) hours
Each Finalist will be required to submit an up to two (2) minute Video showing why the Finalist family deserves a magical gathering in Orlando, and why they should win the Grand Prize Trip (as detailed below) by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on Monday, December 27, 2021. Videos will be judged by the Judges based on the following criteria:
Emotional Quality of the Video: 40%
Inspirational Quality of Video: 30%
Creativity and Uniqueness of the Video: 20%
On-screen Presence of the Finalist: %10
On or about Monday, January 10, 2022, one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be notified via email and/or phone.
GRAND PRIZE: There is one (1) Grand Prize available consisting of one (1) 4-day / 3-night trip for the Grand Prize Winner and up to forty-nine (49) guests (each a “Guest” and collectively the “Guests”) to Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida (the “Trip”). The Trip includes: (a.) Hotel accommodations for three (3) consecutive nights for the Grand Prize Winner and their Guests (room count and room occupancy limitations for up to fifty (50) total individuals to be determined by Disney in its sole discretion. Includes room and tax only) at a Walt Disney World® Resort hotel selected by Disney in its sole discretion; (b.) Round-trip economy class air transportation, provided by Spirit Airlines, for the Grand Prize Winner and up to forty-nine (49) Guests to Orlando International Airport from an airport served by Spirit Airlines* (as selected at the sole discretion of Sponsor) near the Grand Prize Winner or applicable Guest’s residence.; (c.) 4-Day Theme Park Tickets with Park Hopper® Option for Grand Prize Winner and up to forty-nine (49) Guests (tickets are subject to separate terms, conditions and restrictions which can be found on the ticket); (d.) a minimum of two (2) catered events at a Walt Disney World® Resort property, location/times and menu to be selected by Disney in its sole discretion; and (e.) Walt Disney World® Resort group ground transportation to/from Orlando International Airport during specified arrival/departure times (any individuals arriving/departing outside of the specified arrival/departure times will be responsible for securing their own transportation to/from Orlando International Airport).
