Grand Prize: (1 winner) hance to attend a Parent/Child Space Camp or Aviation Challenge in Huntsville, AL for 2 nights/ 3 days along with up to three other family members including airfare, standard hotel accommodations of Sponsors’ choice (single room, quad occupancy), ground transportation of Sponsors’ choice to and from airport to Space Camp, and $500 spending money. The particular Space Camp program(s) available to the Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guests will depend on the age of the Grand Prize Winner at the time he/she attends Space Camp/Aviation Challenge, and the parameters of those program(s) (which are subject to change at the discretion of U.S. Space & Rocket Center). The minimum age of any Guest to attend a Space Camp program is 7 years of age. The particular program attended by the Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guests is subject to the approval of Sponsors. Winner and his/her Guests must attend the same Space Camp program. As of the writing of these Rules, Space Camp programs are divided by age groups as follows: Parent-Child Space Camp®/Aviation Challenge 7 -12, Space Camp/Mach I 9-12, Space Academy/Mach II 12 – 14, Advanced Space Academy/Mach III – 15 – 18. While the particular program(s) may vary in duration and content, each program includes meals, lodging, educational programs and materials, a team t-shirt, team photo, camp graduation wings and a certificate. T-shirts are customized with a logo from camp program attended.

If the Grand Prize Winner is under the age of seven, he/she will be awarded an alternate prize package which includes a 2-night/3-day trip for four to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. The Alternate Grand Prize Package includes: a) airfare for four to and from major airport nearest winner’s home, b) 2-nights/3-days standard hotel accommodations of Sponsors’ choice (one room, quad occupancy), c) 4 tickets to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, d) transportation to and from airport and the hotel, d) $500 gift card for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and e) $500 in spending money.

Grand Prize Package must be booked at least 30 days in advance, is subject to Space Camp availability and must be completed within one year of the award date. Sponsors are not responsible for airlines cancellations or delays. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the Grand Prize Vacation Package description above, including but not limited to, transportation between the Grand Prize Winner’s home and the departure airport, meals, hotel room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, merchandise/souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, additional ground transportation, tips/gratuities, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses or incidentals are the responsibility solely of Grand Prize Winner. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid government-issued photo I.D.) prior to departure.

Grand Prize Winner and Guests must travel on the same itinerary and comply with all security requirements. Travel companions must execute a liability/publicity releases (except where prohibited) prior to issuance of travel documents. All minors (based on age of majority in resident’s state) must be accompanied by minor’s parent or legal guardian. If a Parent attending as a Guest is not available in the Space Camp program awarded to a Minor, the Minor and his/her Guests may be required to travel to Space Camp/Aviation Challenge without a Parent. Expenses and costs not specified are solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and his/her Guests. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center may require form(s), medical documents and/or releases (in addition to those required by Sponsors) to be properly completed. Any failure to complete any such forms, medical documents or releases may restrict activity access and/or participation and/or Space Camp/Aviation Challenge attendance. Space Camp/ Aviation Challenge attendance is subject to the standard Camp policies and procedures established by the U.S Space & Rocket Center.
