GRAND PRIZE: One Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip package for two (2) to Florence, Italy to meet the author Frances Mayes at her home. The prize includes:
– roundtrip economy class tickets for two (2) on Alitalia-owned and operated flights from the Alitalia U.S. operating gateway airport nearest to the Winner’s hometown (as determined by Sponsor),
– three (3) consecutive nights hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at the Plaza Lucchessi,
– airport transfers in Florence,
– roundtrip ground transportation to Frances Mayes’ home in Cortona, Italy, and
– one (1) signed copy of each of the following Frances Mayes’ books, The Tuscan Sun Cookbook and Everyday in Tuscany.
Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of prize $4,600.00. Actual value will depend on location of the Grand Prize Winner’s residence and time of travel booking. Any difference between approximate and actual value will not be awarded. If Grand Prize Winner elects to take prize travel without a travel companion, no additional prize element will be substituted. All elements of the prize including but not limited to airline(s) and hotel booked for the prize are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor or prize provider. Any and all taxes on the prize will be the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Items not specifically listed in the prize description above, including but not limited to ground transportation, meals, drinks, snacks, room service, laundry, excursions and all other personal and incidental expenses, will be solely the Grand Prize Winner’s responsibility. Grand Prize Winner must book travel arrangements through Sponsor’s designated travel agency by June 30, 2012 and complete all travel between September 17, 2012 and October 25, 2012. Grand Prize Winner must provide valid passport information for Grand Prize Winner and travel companion at time of booking including passenger names as they appear on passports, passport numbers, expiration dates and dates of birth. All travel must originate and end at the major gateway city airport nearest to the Grand Prize Winner’s U.S. residence as determined by Sponsor. Grand Prize Winner and travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary, and are responsible for securing and presenting any visas or other required documentation including valid passports for traveling. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked. Prize conditions may be added or modified by Sponsor or its designee. Released Parties are not responsible for any changes of any element of Prize travel and is not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation or flight delays. Released Parties will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Travel is subject to capacity controls, availability, blackout dates and certain other restrictions, which may include a Saturday night stay, all of which are subject to change. Airline tickets are not valid for upgrades or mileage accrual. The tickets are not transferable and may not be endorsed to another carrier or exchanged for cash. No stopovers are permitted on tickets issued as a prize; if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate and full fare will be charged from the stopover point for the remaining trip segments, including the return. Once hotel and flight arrangements have been confirmed, no changes will be allowed except by Sponsor or its designee. An unclaimed and/or unused Prize travel package will remain the property of Sponsor or its designee.
RUNNER-UP PRIZE: Ten (10) Runner-Up Winners will each receive a signed copy of Frances Mayes’ book, The Tuscan Sun Cookbook (ARV of prize $29.99).
Total ARV of all prizes: $4,899.90.
