(1) You must compose and submit an essay of no more than 500 words explaining why you deserve to win the Prize (as defined below) (the “Essay”). You only need to compose and submit one Essay and include it in your first Contest entry; you need not compose and submit an Essay for any other Contest entry you submit; and.
(2) Download and submit a photograph of yourself in one of the following file formats (no other formats will be accepted): JPEG (including JPEG and JPG but not JPE); GIF; PNG or BMP. No other person may appear in the photograph. You only need to download and submit the photograph as part of your first Contest entry; you need not download and submit a photograph for any other Contest entry you submit.
The potential Contest winner will be chosen based on the judging of the Essays submitted by eligible entrants by a panel appointed by the Sponsor using the following judging criteria: (1) entrant’s demonstrated need for the Prize (33 1/3%); (2) the inspirational attitude exhibited in the Essay (33 1/3%); and (3) creativity of the Essay (33 1/3%). In the event of a tie, the potential winner will be the person with the highest creativity score. In the event there is still a tie, the potential winner with the highest inspirational attitude as exhibited in the Essay will be the winner. A potential winner will be selected on or about May 20, 2011. One (1) Prize will be awarded to one (1) winner.
The Prize winner will be notified via telephone, mail or e-mail on or about May 20, 2011 that he/she, subject to verification, is the Prize winner. If a winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made during one (1) day from Sponsor’s first attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible or refuses the Prize, an alternate winner may be selected in Sponsor’s sole discretion from the next eligible entrant who received the second highest Essay score. If any Prize or Prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
The Prize will consist of the following: One (1) 2011 Chevrolet Cruze with all standard features (the “Automobile”); approximate retail value (ARV) of the Automobile: $21,975.00; and a cash award to cover the estimated costs of sales and other taxes, title and registration for the Automobile; approximate value of the cash award: $7,691.00 (cash award may vary depending on the ARV of the Chevrolet Cruze model selected by Prize winner).
Total ARV of the Prize: $29,666.00
