Prize: There is one (1) grand prize available to be won, consisting of a trip to British Columbia for the winner and up to ten (10) designated guests, with specific trip components to be customized by the winner in conjunction with Sponsor, as described below (the “Grand Prize Trip”). After a winner is declared, the winner will cooperate and liaise with Sponsor and/or its authorized representative to assemble a customized prize package from destination, accommodation, transportation and activity/experience options to be presented and facilitated by Sponsor, with the winner’s input. Components of the Grand Prize Trip will include:
Round trip economy transportation (may include air or ground transportation) for the winner and a maximum of ten (10) guests from the major commercial airport, or ground transportation terminus, closest to the winner’s home in the U.S. or Canada (the “Departure Point”) to Vancouver, British Columbia;
Transportation from Vancouver, British Columbia to the selected destination(s) (may include base rental charges for economy car rental, subject to meeting rental car eligibility criteria);
Accommodation at selected destination(s) (may include “bed and breakfast” or standard hotel accommodation based on double occupancy);
British Columbia experiences and/or activities, to be customized by Sponsor and the winner; and
Spending money of $1,000 CDN for the winner.
The exact details of the Grand Prize Trip, such as the number of guests accompanying the winner, length of the trip, transportation and accommodation arrangements, regions visited and activities undertaken, will be finalized between the winner and Sponsor after a winner has been declared. Spending money of $1,000 will be provided to the winner regardless of the Grand Prize Trip components selected by the winner.
The actual retail value of the Grand Prize Trip will depend upon the customized trip components selected by the winner in conjunction with Sponsor, but will not exceed $20,000 CDN (approx. $20,144 USD based on an exchange rate of $1CDN = $1.007USD) (the “Maximum Trip Value”). For U.S. residents, taxes, if any, related to the prize will be the responsibility of the individual winner; however, if the winner is a U.S. resident, the winner will also be awarded a cash amount equal to 25% of the actual retail value of the prize (up to a maximum of $5,037 USD), to be used by the winner towards the payment of taxes in respect of the Grand Prize Trip.
