Grand Prize: (1 winner) Amtrak vacations package to a destination of the winner’s choice among available tours included in the 2009 Amtrak Vacations Brochure, (e.g., Peaks to Pacific by Rail, Grand Canyon Discovery by Rail, and the Northern Border & Pacific Northwest by Rail) . The winner can travel with up to three (3) companions on the same Vacations Package and departure date. The Vacations Package is inclusive of sleeping car accommodations onboard Amtrak with meals included in the Dinning Car. Some trains do not have sleeping car accommodations, and meals are not included on those trains when traveling in coach accommodations. The Grand Prize includes roundtrip transportation for the winner and up to three companions: a maximum of four (4) persons. Additional taxes, fees and restrictions may apply to the Grand Prize. Unless otherwise specified in the Amtrak’s Vacation Package selected, all meals, transfers, taxes, upgrades and other expenses are not included, and are the sole responsibility of the winner. Substitutions and upgrades are not permitted. Hotel accommodations are for one room, quad-occupancy at a property designated by the Vacations Package selected. Sightseeing tours offered in connection with any Vacations Package are subject to availability. Travel on Amtrak is subject to availability and certain blackout dates may apply, including without limitation, the following: September 4, 2009; September 7, 2009; November 24-25, 2009, November 28-30, 2009; December 17-23, 2009; December 26-30, 2009, January 3-4, 2010; February 12, 2010; February 15, 2010; April 2, 2010; April 4, 2010; and April 5, 2010. Travel in conjunction with the Grand Prize is not permitted during Amtrak’s peak blackout period. The Grand Prize has a maximum approximate retail value of $7,000.00 (USD). For the avoidance of confusion or doubt, the winner is not entitled to a cash value of $7,000.00; rather, the winner shall only be entitled to a Vacations Package with a value up to $7,000.00. The final ARV of the Grand Prize will be determined by the value of the Vacation Package selected by the winner from the 2009 Amtrak Vacations Brochure.

Additional Terms and Conditions: The Grand Prize is for the winner and up to three companions of the winner’s choice: two adults and two children. Winner and companion(s) are responsible for all required travel documentation, including without limitation, identification documents necessary for travel between the United States and Canada (as necessary). Winner and companion(s) must travel on the same itinerary (i.e, Vacations Package tour and departure date). If a winner cancels, defaults on, or fails to qualify for or does not meet the requirements of the Sweepstakes, the winner will either forfeit the prize or, if already utilized, be obligated to pay to Sponsor the retail value of the prize. Vacation Package destinations are subject to change without notice. Itineraries and departure dates may be changed, cancelled or discontinued at any time and without prior notice. Prizes may not be declined once awarded and accepted by winner. Winner must pay all applicable taxes and fees for prize accepted. All travel on Amtrak is subject to Amtrak’s Contract of Carriage/Terms of Transportation and subject to availability. Travel must be completed by July 30, 2010, and reservations must be confirmed thirty (30) days in advance of travel date. To make a reservation, contact Amtrak Vacations at: 1-800-AMTRAK-2. Space is limited and subject to availability. Once reservations are ticketed, no changes are permitted. Prize must be used in its entirety. The Grand Prize may not be bartered, transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash value in whole or in part. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable or for any reason. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the Vacations Package description, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, personal charges at lodging, taxes or other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Unless a child of the winner, each travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure. All persons under the age of eighteen (18) as of the date of departure must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the same room. If the winner is a minor in his/her place of residence, at least one (1) travel companion must be winner’s parent/legal guardian. Travel companions must execute a Liability and Publicity Release prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and other limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates.
