Prize: Grand Prize (1): One (1) reservation on the X-COR Lynx sub-orbital space vehicle, for one (1) person on one (1) flight to travel into space on dates, to locations and for a duration determined by Sponsor between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2020 and a check for $25,000 to help defray the cost of taxes (ARV: $86,000). Grand Prize includes round trip coach class air transportation from the airport nearest the winner’s home to take off location, round trip ground transportation to/from airport/hotel and two (2) nights hotel accommodations. In the event winner lives within a 150-mile radius of take off location, round-trip ground transportation will be provided in lieu of air transportation and no additional compensation will be provided for air transportation portion of prize. Actual ARV of Grand Prize may vary due to winner’s residence, dates of travel and fares at time of travel. SpaceX Astronauts will also be accompanying winner on trip. Winner will be responsible for any other costs or expenses associated with the Grand Prize, including payment of applicable taxes. Check will be awarded in the year that the trip is taken. Winner will be required to attend a mandatory three (3) day bonding and training program at the spaceport. Winner must be aware of and assume all risk for participation and understand all the dangers and risks inherent in this type of prize activity. Winner must meet any physical (pre-flight medical checks), testing, government and other requirements as determined by Sponsor, applicable government or other organizations regarding participation in said prize activities. Any passports or required travel documents are the responsibility of the individual winner. Grand Prize winner must complete any required additional releases required by SpaceX prior to trip. In the event, the Grand Prize winner does not meet space travel requirements, or if Sponsor is unable to provide trip by December 31, 2020 because of any technical, governmental or other reason, Sponsor will award the winner, the complete prize of a check for $86,000, in lieu of the trip and check for $25,000. Grand Prize will be awarded on or before December 31, 2020.
