Maggiano’s Italian Recipe Contest

Entrants will have the opportunity to submit their original* Italian inspired recipe that they would like to see on the Maggiano’s menu.
Entry Requirements:
• Entry must consist of a recipe, a photo, and an essay (together, an “Entry”).
o Recipe: Dish must be an original Italian inspired recipe and fall into one of three Recipe Categories (Appetizer, Pasta, or Entrée). Recipe must include ingredients, garnishes, flavors, exact measurements or weights, dimensions or sizes of equipment, and complete preparation instructions.
o Photo: Photo of completed dish.
o Essay: Describe the story behind the creation of the recipe in two hundred (250) words or less.
• All Entries must also comply with the technical and creative requirements and entry terms set forth below in order to be eligible.
• *Recipes may be a derivative of another recipe but it must feature changes considered significant by the Sponsor and/or Judging Panel (as defined below) in order to be considered eligible for the Contest.
Entries may be submitted at anytime during the Entry Submission Period. LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER ENTRANT DURING THE ENTRY SUBMISSION PERIOD. If more than one (1) Entry is submitted by an Entrant only the first Entry received (based on date and time submitted to the Contest Site) will be eligible. Entry is not complete until you have properly followed all the online prompts and instructions to upload your Entry and have affirmatively accepted the Official Rules. By entering, Entrants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules. Entries will not be returned and become the property of the Sponsor. By submitting an Entry, the Entrant warrants and represents that he/she is the creator of the recipe featured in the Entry and that he/she consents to the submission and use of the Entry in the Contest.
Technical/Creative Requirements:
• Essay: Essay must be no longer than 250 words. Essays that are longer than the allowable word limit are subject to disqualification in the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
• Photo: Photos must be in .jpg, .gif, or .png format with a maximum file size of ten (10) MB. No other person may appear in your photo other than yourself.
• Language: Recipe and Essay must be in English
8. PRIZES:
• One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive their recipe featured on the menu at Maggiano’s Little Italy for a limited time, a Chef’s Dinner for four (4), and a trip for two (2) to Parma, Italy. Trip includes the following: round-trip coach air transportation for Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest to the airport closest to Parma, Italy from a single major U.S. gateway airport nearest to Grand Prize winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor); 4-day/3-night stay (hotel as determined by Sponsor); an Italian Cooking Experience at the world famous Academia Barilla; and a day trip of food tours (i.e. prosciutto, parmesan, or balsamic production). Chef’s Dinner will be hosted at a Maggiano’s location of the winner’s choosing. Transportation to or from the restaurant is not included with prize. Alcoholic beverages will not be served to persons under twenty-one (21) years of age. Winner will work with a Maggiano’s representative to schedule the dinner. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: $11,200.
• One (1) First Prize winner will receive a Chef’s Dinner for four (4). Chef’s Dinner will be hosted at a Maggiano’s location of the winner’s choosing. Transportation to or from the restaurant is not included with prize. Alcoholic beverages will not be served to persons under twenty-one (21) years of age. Winner will work with a Maggiano’s representative to schedule the dinner; ARV: $400.
• One (1) Second Prize winner will receive a $300 Maggiano’s Little Italy Gift Certificate; ARV: $300.
• One (1) Third Prize winner will receive a $200 Maggiano’s Little Italy Gift Certificate; ARV: $200.
• One (1) Fourth Prize winner will receive a $150 Maggiano’s Little Italy Gift Certificate; ARV: $150.
• One (1) Fifth Prize winner will receive a $100 Maggiano’s Little Italy Gift Certificate; ARV: $100.
