Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize (“ARV”): $4,000.00.

If a potential prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her Minor, prize will be awarded in the name of prize winner’s parent or legal guardian. Grand Prize travel must be completed by March 30, 2012, or the Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety. The Amtrak Vacations Grand Canyon Discovery by Rail Package is valid for two adults, traveling together, double occupancy. Grand Prize winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and each possess all required travel documents, including passports, if applicable. The Grand Prize winner and guest are solely responsible for all costs, incidentals, and expenses not specifically mentioned as part of the prize, including but not limited to, unspecified ground transportation, lodging, meals, gratuities and incidentals incurred during travel. Grand Prize travel on Amtrak trains subject to Amtrak’s Conditions of Carriage/Terms of Transportation. Amtrak Sleeping Car Accommodations are for one room for two (2) adults. Grand Prize standard hotel accommodations are for one room, double occupancy at a property selected by Amtrak Vacations. Sightseeing tours include tours offered by Amtrak Vacations, subject to availability. Rail or air travel to Chicago and from Flagstaff is included for two people depending on travel route and city/state Grand Prize winner is departing from. If Amtrak determines the winner is not in proximity to an Amtrak station, coach class air transportation for two (2) will be provided in lieu of Amtrak train travel from the major airport nearest winner’s home to Chicago to begin the journey and from Flagstaff to end the journey. All travel arrangements will be decided at Amtrak’s discretion. Amtrak Vacations reserves the right to substitute prize (or prize component) of equal or greater value. Grand Prize travel is subject to availability and certain blackout dates may apply. Travel in conjunction with this award is not permitted during Amtrak’s peak blackout period: 18FEB11 and 21FEB11; 22APR11 and 24-25APR11; 27MAY11; 1-2JUL11; 02SEP11 and 05SEP11; 07OCT11; 22-23NOV11 and 26- 28NOV11; 21-24DEC11; 26-30DEC11; 02JAN12; 17FEB12 and 20FEB12. Grand Prize trip reservations must be confirmed thirty (30) days in advance of travel date. Grand Prize Winner and guest must book their travel at the same time and must travel on the same itinerary. The Grand Prize trip is subject to seat availability, as well as Amtrak’s terms and conditions generally applicable thereto. The trip may not be combined with any other Amtrak offer. Grand Prize winner and guest will be responsible for all necessary travel authorizations and for any travel insurance. Once Grand Prize trip reservations are ticketed/booked, no changes are permitted. Amtrak tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and are not valid for upgrades or Amtrak Guest Rewards. Grand Prize cannot be bartered, transferred, or sold; it has no cash value. The Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in the Official Rules. Grand Prize must be used in its entirety. Other Grand Prize restrictions may apply. Once determined, no change, extension or substitution of travel dates are permitted, except by Sponsor or Amtrak at their sole discretion. If Grand Prize winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must be determined to be the Grand Prize winner. If the guest is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems him/her to be a Minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/legal guardian and such person must be the Grand Prize winner. ARV for Grand Prize trip may vary depending upon points of departure and destination and fare fluctuations. Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the Grand Prize ARV in these Official Rules. Amtrak reserves the right to structure the travel route. No substitution, transfer, upgrades or cash equivalent for a prize (or prize component) permitted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize (or prize component) with one of equal or greater value for any reason at their sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to replace any merchandise with a newer model or version of same; but, in such event, Sponsor will continue to use the value of the “old” (i.e., replaced) item for purposes of calculating the ARV. If a winner forfeits a prize (or a portion of a prize), his/her prize forfeiture will serve as complete fulfillment of the obligation by Sponsor and no additional compensation will be awarded. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost or stolen prize components or Amtrak tickets. All federal, state, local or other taxes (if applicable) are the sole responsibility of the winners. Any depictions of prizes are for illustrative purposes only. Prizes and/or prize notifications will be shipped to street addresses in the forty- eight (48) contiguous United States or the District of Columbia only. Grand Prize winner will receive an IRS Tax Form 1099 for the total ARV of the prize (stated herein) that he/she won for the calendar year in which he/she is awarded the prize.
