Prize: (1 winner) A check for $500, to be used toward travel expenses to and from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Camp facility in Huntsville, Alabama; and Space Camp tuition for one child (plus one (1) adult family member, if the child will attend a Parent/Child program). The minimum child age to attend is 7 years old, maximum child age to attend is 18 years old. Winner will select one of the following programs based on the participating child’s age group: 3 day/2 night Parent/Child Space Camp for children ages 7-12, plus one adult (19 years of age or older) family member, held weekends (Fri-Sun); 3 day/2 night Space Camp for children ages 9-11 (held throughout the week); or 6 day/5 night Space Academy for children aged 12-14 or 15-18, held weeklong (Sun-Fri). Each program includes meals, lodging, educational programs and materials, flight suit (for the participating child only), a team t-shirt, team photo, camp graduation wings and certificate for each participant. Also included is program registration fee (valued at $50) and ground transportation to and from Huntsville International Airport (valued at $25) if needed. Shirts are customized with a logo from the Space Camp program attended. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the total prize package will vary based on the Space Camp program selected by the Winner, but the maximum ARV is One Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-four and 00/100 USD ($1,734.00). Camp must be booked at least 30 days in advance, is subject to Space Camp availability and must be completed within one year of award date. 18-year-olds may not attend a program beyond the summer of their high school graduation year. Expenses and costs not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner, including any and all travel-related costs which exceed the amount of the $500 awarded; provided, however, that if the winner’s actual travel expenses are less than $500, the winner may keep the difference. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center may require form(s), medical documents and/or releases (in addition to those required by Sponsor) to be properly completed, and failure to complete any such forms, medical documents or releases may restrict activity access and/or participation and/or Space Camp attendance.
