Fandango’s “Scream-Off” Video Contest

5. SELECTION OF DAILY WINNERS AND GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One (1) Daily Winner (defined below) will be selected for each Contest Entry Period. One (1) Grand Prize Winner (defined below) will be selected from all eighteen (18) Daily Winners.

After the close of each Contest Entry Period, a judge or judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion and consisting of Fandango employee(s) (“Judge(s)” will select what the Judge(s) deem in his/her/their sole discretion to be the top entry for that Contest Entry Period (“Daily Winner”, “Scream of the Day” or “Scream Leader”) based on the following judging criteria: Relevance to the Theme (25%), Originality (25%), and Creativity (50%) (“Judging Criteria”). Each Daily Winner will be featured on the Fandango Scream-Off page at www.fandango.com/scream-off as the “Scream of the Day” within twenty-four (24) hours after the close of the Contest Entry Period for which the person is the Daily Winner. When the next day’s Daily Winner is featured as the Scream of the Day, the Daily Winner will be moved to be listed as a Scream Leader. For clarification, at the close of all the Contest Entry Periods, eighteen (18) Daily Winners will be featured as the eighteen (18) Scream Leaders. In the event of a tie, the Judge(s) will break the tie by selecting the tied entrant who received the highest points from the Judge(s) for Originality as the Daily Winner. In the event a tie remains, the tied entries will be judged by an additional tie-breaking judge selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, using the Judging Criteria, to determine which of the tied entrants will be the Daily Winner. Decisions of Sponsor and Judge(s) are final and binding with respect to all matters related to the Contest.

Between October 19, 2013 and October 31, 2013, a Grand Prize Winner Judge(s) selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion will review all Daily Winner Videos and will select one (1) potential grand prize winner (“Grand Prize Winner” or “Ultimate Screamer”) from all the Daily Winners based on the Judging Criteria detailed above. Potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified on October 31, 2013 via Twitter direct message or Instagram comment, depending upon the platform used by Potential Grand Prize Winner to enter his/her winning submission (“Prize Award Period”). At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner may result from any of the following: (1) a potential Grand Prize Winner’s failure to respond to notification promptly after its transmission; (2) the return of notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; (3) a potential Grand Prize Winner’s failure to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; (4) a potential Grand Prize Winner’s failure to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release within five (5) business days after its transmission; (5) a potential Grand Prize Winner’s failure to validly claim the prize by November 15, 2013; and (6) any other non-compliance with these Official Rules. In the event of Grand Prize (defined below) forfeiture, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited Grand Prize to an alternate Winner. Decisions of Sponsor and Judge(s) are final and binding with respect to all matters related to the Contest.
