PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: (20) Prizes: Each winner will be offered an opportunity to travel to Durango, Colorado, to participate in the Team Marlboro Durango, Colorado, Project from 6\/9\/14 to 6\/13\/14. Winner will be an active participant in a project designed to restore and preserve trails. Project trip duration will not exceed five days. Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from the commercial airport nearest winner\u2019s home to an airport near the project location, accommodations, meals while at the project site and project activities. Appropriate project resources, including all transportation at project location, will be provided. Upon completion of project, a check in the amount of $2,000.00 will be awarded to winner. Approximate retail value of each prize is $4,350.00. Exact location will be disclosed at time of winner\u2019s notification. Winner must agree to participate in project, work on designated tasks and depart and return on dates specified by Presenter or prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. All dates are subject to change. Winner must possess required travel documents (i.e., valid photo ID) prior to departure. Winner must present a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the project destination. The maximum total approximate retail value of all 20 prizes available to be won is $87,000.00.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>HERE\u2019S HOW IT WORKS: This is a unique opportunity to be one of 20 winners who will be selected to participate in the Team Marlboro 2014 Durango, Colorado, Project based on submissions at Marlboro.com. Tell us why you are right for this project. It could be your skills, your passion for the outdoors or your team attitude. In 1,000 characters or fewer, tell us why you think you have what it takes. IMPORTANT: Your essay must comply with all applicable essay requirements listed below.<\/p>\n<p>Essay Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>Essay is limited to a maximum of 1,000 characters, including spaces and all punctuation.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must be in English; common foreign words\/phrases are acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must be the original work of the entrant.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must not in any way disparage Presenter or persons or organizations associated with Presenter, in Presenter\u2019s sole discretion; must not include threats to any person, place, business or group; and must not in any other way violate applicable federal, state or local laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must not promote illegal drug use, unsafe use of firearms\/weapons or any activities that are or may appear to be unsafe or dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must not contain offensive words or statements (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group) and should not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity.<\/p>\n<p>Essay must not describe or reference indecent behavior, including but not limited to profanities or obscenities.<\/p>\n<p>Essays that the Presenter deems to be inappropriate, hateful, tortious, defamatory or slanderous will be disqualified.<\/p>\n<p>Essays that are health- and\/or youth-oriented are subject to further review and may be disqualified.<\/p>\n<p>Limit one entry per person. Essays must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 3\/8\/14.<\/p>\n<p>Presenter\/Judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in their sole opinion, does not comply with the above Essay Requirements and these Official Rules in general, including any essay that refers to, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon the Presenter or the Contest.<\/p>\n<p>Once an essay is submitted, the essay is final and may not be deleted, canceled or modified. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Presenter and will not be acknowledged or returned.<\/p>\n<p>4. JUDGING: Essays received during the Promotional Period will be judged based on the following criteria: interest in the specific project \u2013 40%; passion for the outdoors \u2013 30%; originality and creativity \u2013 20%; and skills relevant to the team\/project \u2013 10%. The 20 highest-scoring essays will be declared the potential winners. In the event of a tie, essays will be rejudged based on interest in the specific project to determine a potential winner. The 20 winners will include at least 6 males and 6 females, assuming a sufficient number of entries for each gender are received. Judging will be conducted by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final.
