http://momsdinnerhelper.com/?page_id=435 -thanks kathi -they have a Kitchen Timer, Apron, Reusable Shopping Bag, Pot Holder, Potato Peeler, Grocery List Stationary, and Bag Clip which you can get when you earn points by creating a profile, rating recipes, posting, etc. -placing an order doesn’t seem to go through yet, maybe the points have to be approved first

Sounds interesting.. Thank you Chris & Kathy!

  • Jamie

I mean Kathi! :uh: :uh: sorry

  • Dellia

Gracias Peeps! Maybe this is like the Allstate thing! :wiggle:

  • kathisierra

yeah, I should have done my points before I gave it to Chris to post… :kekeke: oh well

  • kathisierra

my points just jumped to 100, so I guess it takes a while.

  • you get points immediately after rating recipes, but the order doesnt seem to go through

  • kathisierra

haven’t tried to redeem yet, as I don’t have enough points yet. :dunno:

  • Rose

Hm, they aren’t redeeming for me either.

  • urka5430314

  • smiley

    awesome!! thanks both

  • kathisierra

I found this in the Feb issue of Woman’s Day page 61 so I’m sure its legit. :dunno:

  • kathisierra

Well I redeemed 200 for a grocery list but can’t tell if it took, as they keep adding points onto my total? :dunno:

  • yeah Im not too worried about that, I hope the ordering system gets fixed soon though :fingersx:

  • Dellia

:kekeke: Lucky Ducky, soon enough you’ll be able to get the grocery list AND the kitchen timer.

  • kathisierra

nah already have a great kitchen timer from the registrys and enough aprons to last from FST. :kekeke:

  • Ithink

I posted a recipe, but I can’t even see anywhere on my profile where I even submitted it :dunno:

  • kathisierra

yeah I did also, then half hour later the points showed up, strange site.

  • Dellia

  • Dellia

How are you guys earning points? I can’t seem to figure it out… :run:

  • kathisierra

create a profile, thats 50 points, then comment and rate recipes for more points.

  • Dellia

    Thank you!

  • Jamie

Looks like I’ll be rating lots of recipes. Glad I’m not hungry!

  • Jamie

I don’t see where the points are..

  • Heather

    :wavey: :wavey:

  • Dellia

I’m not hungry anymore, because I’ve been eating chocolate truffles :kekeke:

Time to go get some more :yum:

  • Jamie

    nevermind!

  • Jamie

OMG YUMM!! Did you make them?

  • Cyndie

Is there anywhere on this site that u can actually see the items you are redeeming your points for? :dunno:

  • Dellia

No, definitely not! (BWAHAHA the thought of me making truffles…they wouldn’t turn out edible!) They’re Russel Stover, and they actually taste quite bad :kekeke: . I have an assortment and all of them taste the same. I don’t know why I was eating them…maybe because I just wanted some chocolate. Anyways, I decided not to go get more, and instead I got an apple :yum:

  • Dellia

Nope, only the name of the item I’m afraid. I found this to be quite frustrating. :dunno:

  • Cyndie

I have 2400 points so far

  • Cyndie

    :fingersx:

  • Dellia

    wow! WTG!!! :h5:

  • kathisierra

there’s probably a two item limit and only 1000 points for your state.

  • kathisierra

Don’t forget to do your Prilosec and MyPoints.

  • Dellia

What do you get from mypoints? Is it easy?

  • smiley

easy peasey.. but they take forever to approve your points!

  • Dellia

Gracias, I’ll go check it out.

  • smiley

oh forgot.. you can redeem your points for gift cards/certificates

  • Dellia

Just curious, but how long does it take to get a gift card?

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to buy some cute Birkenstocks from Amazon…so I need some gift cards to there, but it’s like 2,000 points.

  • Dellia

    :uh: 3,750 points :eek3:

  • bridgette

I don’t see my points, where are they at? :noes:

  • bridgette

I redeemed for the kitchen timer and it took my points but when I look in potato points redemption orders, I don’t see it. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • bridgette

    nevermind also…

  • Fitch

It says while supplies last for the prizes.

    Maybe they ran out? 🙁

  • bridgette

took the points for the one timer. now that i have earned 3800 points it won’t let me redeem for anything else

  • nah I dont think so. the site didnt have that much activity before this, I think its just a problem with their site. Hopefully it’ll be resolved by this week

  • :h5:

  • Ithink

argh it’s so frustrating that as soon as you hit enter after putting in your info, your points go back up :run: :run:

  • chris o

I don’t see the points I should have earned.
    Where are they?

  • it tells you here on the top of this page: http://momsdinnerhelper.com/?page_id=557

  • amanda

How do we know if it’s shipped?

  • Meredith

Folks, Meredith here, from Mom’s Dinner Helper. First I want to thank EVERYONE for checking out our online resource for all-things-potatoes.

We’ve seen a tremendous jump in visitors over the past four days, and of course they were days I was on vacation! Alas, I’ve returned and am reviewing all the great comments and potato recipes that have been uploaded.

I apologize to everyone who was frustrated with the process for redeeming points for prizes. A couple of the comments above were spot on–all comments have to be approved prior to points being redeemable. You shouldn’t have any problems at this point–so come on back and claim your prizes! (Please allow time for processing of your prizes.)

If you have questions, comments, concerns about http://www.momsdinnerhelper.com, please comment on the site with questions. Let us me know what other subjects you’d like to talk about or if you want to see more on ones already posted. We’ve been up and running for just four months and your input is taken very seriously. I’ll get back to you just as soon as possible!
    Happy New Year to you!

    Meredith Myers, http://www.momsdinnerhelper.com

PS. Remember, potatoes, at about $0.25 per potato at most supermarkets, are the one of the best food deals around!

  • kathisierra

thanks Meredith we love your site, great new recipes, and points to boot. :h5:

  • Tina

Thanks Meredith, I really love your site. It gave me many ideas on what to do with a simple potato. I have a lot of new recipes to try.

  • :h5: Awesome. Can’t wait to try some recipes!

  • Jamie

Thank you Meredith! I’m always looking for new ways to make my potatoes! I love ’em!

  • Meredith

You guys are awesome! Isn’t it cool to share a love for spuds??? :wavey:
