:wavey: How is the afternoon going for everyone? My central air went out, and I am waiting for my uncle to come look at it, my basement flooded last night from all the rain, so I had to get rid of a 39 gallon trash bag of my boys clothes that where on the laundry room floor and 6 suitcases that got ruined as well. :run: :run: :run:

oh no Heather… my initial thought was to just wash the clothes, but then again, i do not know about “floods”, etc. I hope things get better for you soon. I will pray for you & your family

Thanks, that was my 1st thought too, but then the when the drain came up, sewage smell came up with it, tried to get the smell out and it didn’t work, so I am not going to even think about trying to save them. I got my dehumidifer going and I disinfected the floor, washer, dryer, deep freezer, ect, everything in the basement now smells like lysol cleaner.

:h5: good going! definitely have to make sure those babies are safe because that flood water had all types of germs and ailments in it.

    AnnD. replied on July 22nd, 2008 :

Heather, if your washer/dryer etc. weren’t up on blocks be careful using them, the water could have ruined the electronic boards. If your uncle is good with that stuff have him dry the components of the machines. I live on a hill so Noah would be renting space from me for the ark if a flood came up this far. We do hsve spring flooding sometime and it seems I see most people throwing things out.

Thanks AnnD. I will have him look at it. But he can’t fix my c/a so he has someone coming to look at it after 6 so hopefully HE will be able to fix it. Something with the compressor/fan in the back on the unit. :dunno:

BAHAHAHA! Dairy towels. I had to ask: What is that?! Is it made from dairy products or .. yes.. yes it is. It’s a towel for drying cow udders. :D

I think I’ll pass on this one.
