Grand Prize
One (1) Grand Prize Winner will win a 1 kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system, which includes a 1 kilowatt solar panel, converter box, mounting hardware suitable for roof mounting on standard shingle roof, and all necessary wiring. To view the parts list for a roof mounted solar photovoltaic system similar to the Grand Prize, look at the bottom of these rules. Shipping charges and installation costs are the responsibility of the winner.
Total value of the Grand Prize will be determined when the prize is purchased at the end of 2009, and is estimated to be between $6,500 and $8,000. Actual value of the system depends on market fluctuations.
