I believe that golf courses should not be
lenghtened rather made tighter and place more on shot making rather than distance. For example the old baseball parks were longer and the majors brought the fenses in so that more home runs.
I believe golf courses are fine just the way they are.
WHERE DO I ENTER THIS CONTEST???? I THINK GOLF COURSES ARE FINE….LET THEM ALONE
I do not think that making courses longer is the answer. Not that many years ago, Doral was a punishing test for touring pros. I would have pro golfers use the old persimmon heads. Also, every tour stop would have tight fairways with U S Open style rough.
Keep fairways soft, and narrow, rough long 8″-12.5″, greens smaller and fast!
