write an essay, in one-hundred (100) words or less (including counting words such as “I”, “a”, etc.), describing why you deserve a Forecast Fix Up from Ace Hardware and The Weather Channel (“Theme”); AND 2) a current original, unaltered digital color photo depicting the Theme (the “Photo”). Photo, essay and Registration form shall be collectively referred to hereafter as the “Entry”.
Prizes:
(1) Grand Prize: An exclusive “Ace Forecast Fix-Up” not to exceed $15,000 (the “Makeover”). Approximate Retail Value not to exceed (“ARV”) = $15,000. Makeover for the Grand Prize Winner currently scheduled to be conducted and recorded on May 15-17, 2012 and shown on The Weather Channel between May 25-26, 2012 (“Broadcast”), at the Grand Prize winner’s place of residence and surrounding area (“Broadcast”). Ace Forecast Fix-Up will consist of consultation with the Ace team to identify things that need to be fixed (ie. weatherproofing energy efficient windows, pest control, etc) and the repair of the items that need to be fixed. Consultation consists of meetings & other communication with winner regarding project, additional photographs (as necessary) prior to makeover & recommendation for makeover.
