    We apologize for the confusion and disappointment caused by our error.

    We made an honest mistake and have done the best we can do to correct it.

    We understand that our actions may not be “good enough.”

    I ask you to understand that we were overwhelmed and confused by what was happening

    The orders came from a page we did not think was on the site.

    The orders asked for an offer that is no longer available.

    They came from a page we were NOT marketing or advertising and had not done so for ALMOST A YEAR.

    In fact, when the orders started coming, we thought our website had been hacked.

    What we learned was that some “free sample websites” search the web for key words like “free sample” and those sites found the lost page.

    It took us three days to figure this out and by then, over 12,500 people had ordered.

    However, we have done everything we know to do to correct the problem.

    We sent out an email to explain what happened.

    We changed the webpage to reflect the correct offer.

    We’re using this email to apologize to those who were offended.

    A friend of mine says, “I reserve the right to get smarter.”

    This has been a learning experience for us and we’re smarter as a result.

    An update for anyone who’s interested…I just got an email response from this company and apparently, the free 1 oz. sample is no longer being offered. Instead, they offer a free full-size product if you pay $7.95 for shipping. Bummer.
