or you can try to open your blinds and then when it starts buzzing on the window looking to excape, close the blinds and it will be trapped (you know the annoying buzzing sound of a fly against the glass!) then smoosh it!

take a funnel and rub a thin layer of oil on the inside, then put cider vinegar or red wine vinegar or juice and put it on a cup. put the funnel upside down over the top of the cup and put the cup on a window ledge with the blinds up. make sure there is no food sitting out anywhere. you want the fly to be atracted to the sweet smell from the cup. once it flys in to get whats in the cup, it cant get back out because of the oil. then you just take the whole thing outside and let it go.
